This coming Monday 11/13 at 7 p.m. I'm having a gathering at a Japanese
restaurant where we will be viewing tapes of the opening day's action of
the 1995 Kyushu basho. The food is prepared by a native of Kyushu, and a
fellow sumo fan. The menu price is inexpensive to moderate; two people
can fill themselves up for less than $20.

 The location is: Miyake
 2605 California Ave. S.W.
 Seattle (938-8515)  -  from Interstate 5, take the West Seattle Freeway
(exit 163) westbound. After cresting the bridge, take the Admiral Way exit
and progress north and westward further to the top of the hill, take a left
turn at the stoplight at California Avenue. The Miyake is immediately to
your right,
you should be able to see the red decorations with the word "Miyake" on them,
and the sidewalk sign that says "Sushi." There is limited parking behind the
establishment, and much more free parking all about. Three Metro bus routes
converge at this intersection, the 37, 55 and 56.
