Hi all,
Just looking at the possibility of the extra sanyaku.
Sounds fine but.....
Have you tried rationally arranging the Banzuke, its especially 
difficult this time.  Muzukashii ne!
Ive researched a few others from prior basho but they were more
reasonable to acheive some kind of balance.
Its really hard to fill the high Maegashira, harder even than usual.
Also, the low Mae. all performed well, so it will be hard to drop 
anyone to Juryo but, more of that later.
As to Kotonowaka becoming a third Sek.
Its fair from his point of view but, it will be inconvenient for Kyokai.
Bad enough to fill high Mae. even with him as Kom. but, if he is
promoted to Sek. then, another has to be promoted to Kom. (min of 2 rule)
and so on.... 
Given that Kyokai could simply move him from nishi to higashi and call
it a move up and not promote to Sek, will they?  This has happened before.
ie- Kom. with Kachi-koshi moving w-e and not to sek.  However, I must
note that of recent examples I thikn it was only an 8-7 result whereas
Kotonwaka has 9-6 (so it would be harder to justify).  I just dont know!!!

What does everyone else think?

It could work like this you see.
Move him to E-Kom for now then if he performs well again next time
move him to Sek (probably even just kachi-koshi would suffice) and
I think he could acheive that. 
The advantage may lie in the timing.
After this basho Musoyama will have the chance to become Ozeki because he
had two good results over last two basho. 11-4, 10-5
So, if Musoyama went to Ozeki then Kotonowaka move to Sek would still
mean only two Sek (in other words o more excuse)
On the other hand, if Kotonowaka chucks up a bad one, they can 
say they were right after all, ne!?

Now about moves from Juryo and to Juryo of course.
No-one in Juryo really deserves to come up.
The closest is Aogiyama, but 9-6 from W-M-3 isn't really enough is it?
Also the bottom of Mae all made kachi-koshi except Tomonohana who
was koushou for Nagoya.   So wher would they find someone to demote.
The nearest is M-11 but they didnt ferform badly enough to got to 
Juryo.  The nearest "Bad" result is Tokitsunada's 3-12 but, from WM-6
thats maybe too far to fall, although he will bottom out the Mae.'s
Perhaps if some Juryo had done really well, at least an 11-4 or so, he
might have been in danger.  But, under the circumstances I think hes safe.
This time.
Well thats my thought, no Juryo promotion, I've been told that there
doesn't have to be although it hasn't occured recently.
Opinions anyone!!!???
