More.... GTB (gomen nasai)

Hello all

Gunnar raises some points for further discussion
as regards my earlier comments. Hers's some more on that.

Yes Kotonoshiki should be promoted to Komosubi.
Takatoriki's 9-6 is not enough to move from M3 to Kom
but rather from M3 to M1, I beleive. Its only 2 more
 shiro-boshi than 7.
Ideally, Kenko's 11-4 could be enough to move him to Kom
but this doesn't always happen. You can never be sure
where large leaps are concerned in either direction.
Kotonowaka should ideally be moved to Sekiwake but Kyokai
could easily decide that to move from W-Kom to E-Kom is
promotion enough, stranger things have happened. It depends
if they decide they want another Sek. Sometimes W-E moves
are seen as promotion and E-W as demotion, sometimes its
not considered as such. eg- switching Yok and others bec. of
comparative results! Therefore, also what about Kaio and Musoyama?
will they be switched bec. Musoyama went 10-5 and Kaio only 9-6?
Personally I'd like to see 10 in the epper ranks as it seems more
balanced overall. If I was Kyokai I would use this opportunity
to achieve that balance and make an extra sanyaku. After all
with Kom. and Sek. they can always drop the extra one next time
if they don't perform up to standard. So I'd like to see, as I
think you are suggesting, Kotonowaka as a haridashi Sekiwake,
probably west to balance the upper echelons. Then Kenko would
 join Kotonishiki as Kom.
My other problem then is back to Tomonohana E-M16 on koushou.
He shouldnt move and yet they will only have 30 Maegashira now.
I cant see them upping Makuuchi to 41 myself. Or is anyone
going to be koushou for this basho, then maybe they could????
So, presuming no one is sitting out, do they have one M15 and
one M16 or does he hop on up to M15? Or perhaps Kyokai will
surprize me and promote an extra Maakuuchi using my own rationale
from earlier that "they could always drop the extra on afterwards
if he doesn't perform to standard".
Opinions anyone!?
Especially, does anyone know any hard facts on the movement or
 not of Tomonohana?

T. Saimon
