Hi all,

Guess the Banzuke Qn time again!

Someone wrote they expected another sanyaku this time, why!? who?

I cant see who can qualify:

Kaio has done 8-7 9-6 9-6 not really enough
Kotonowaka    7-8 9-6 9-6 even less so
Akinoshima started the year so well with 11-4 11-4 then blew it
    with 7-8 and 1-2-12
Musoyama now has 11-4 and 10-5 but started the year with 4-3 ret, yasumi
    so hes got a good chance for next time but not this time.

Please, someone tell me if I've missed something
did I miss the forest for the trees or whatever, but I dont think so.
Comments and opinions please.

My latest model for modelling the banzuke has somewhat improved.
In an attemp to guess the Haru Banzuke based on results from Hatsu it
did very well, almost perfect for the first 20 rikishi (ie down to about
Maegashira 5 or 6) but then it all went awry.  Still must keep on trying.

About Juryo to be promoted:

Nobody from Juryo can really qualify except maybe Aogiyama (9-6 plus a win 
over makuuchi).
although Shikishima may move to the top of Juryoi but 8-7 is not enough
for promotion from that level to makuuchi.  Even Aogiyama may not be high enough
Does anyone know.  Does there have to be any promotion, perhaps not.

Also the bottom of Makuuchi did well.  Tomonohana is koushou and cant go
down.  Above him the next 8 all got kachi-koshi so cant go down, surely.
Especially the lowest three got 9-6 11-4 9-6 indeed.  the first make-koshi
we come to are the two M-11's who made 7-8 and 6-9, surely not enough to drop
all the way to Juryo. (of course it would be just typical of Kyokai to 
demote poor old Kiraiho (6-9) just to prove me wrong, as if to say "hey
you mere mortal, you can't possibly understand our processes much less
model them" hehehehehehe).  Any way I still think I'm right about that!

So, bottom line, how can any Juryo get promoted.  Unless that guy, sorry
I forgot who you were, was right about an extra sanyaku and if Masumi-sama
was then also right about increasing the Makuuchi to 41, then they could up
a Juryo without dropping a Makuuchi.  However, I cant see an extra sanyaku
as stated above. hmmmm!  Thoughta anyone???
