Re: dealing with insulting posts

Since, Tito asked all the members to post our idea of
"how to deal with insulting posts", this is my idea.

If we, as an independent person, think someone's post is 
insulting to others, we should express it briefly and
send it to the person who sent insulting post, and cc to
the person who were insulted by the post.

The sample text is:

I think your recent post to xxx is insulting and inappropriate
for this group. I hope you be more careful and thoughtful 
next time.

This will show how many feel strong enough against his (her)
behavior and at the same time, it will show a sympathy to
the person being insulted.

Doing privately is a key, as well as not using a controversial
words to start a private war.

Also, I'd like to suggest you (if you are impressed by a post) 
to send a encouraging and appreciative private message to a 
poster. This is not just for an information provider, but also
for the person who come up with a good and interesting 
question. This will make this group more active and all
members will get benefit out of it. It also bring even more
positive atmosphare to sumo list.
