Well, maybe I won't expect anything for Kyokudozan, then. Mainoumi seemed
pretty impressive, though -- the wins I saw weren't from henka, they were
from solid work on the belt.
 
I just miss seeing *someone* get it. I've just started following sumo
actively again (thanks to this mailing list :) ) after an 8 year or so
layoff. When I was an active fan, my favorites were the type of guys
who would contend for the Gino-sho, and sometimes I was more interested
in that than the yusho itself. So I feel a bit of a letdown when no one
gets it.
 
Also, thanks to Totoro for the news about Kotonowaka. Maybe I'll root for him
next time :).
 
Can anyone tell me ... who last won the Gino-sho?
