This is apparently quite real......I've had this confirmed by a couple of 
people who have actually talked to PKWARE about it, including out 
corporate System Admin folks. The current PKZIP release is 204G. The 300B 
file is NOT PKZIP and IS a hard disk thrashing virus of some kind.

I suppose this is on topic only because erased hard disks make it 
difficult to connect to the 'net and read mail from this group!
