Surely you don't think only foreigners do this? As someone who has done
the "waiting in line since 5:30 am" game many times, I can tell you that
nationality has NOTHING to do with this sort of line-jumping.
The really irriatating thing is that, regardless of who does it (Japanese
or foreigner), the people at the kokugikan will not boot latecomers out
of the line if you protest. Tito and I very soon learned to do "line counts"
and knew that, with 400 seats available (I think it's 500 now though),
we were in trouble if we were number 350 at about 7:00 because
invariably our number would get pushed back.
