Can I add a personal note here? Yes, the rule is 1 person, 1 ticket.
On one of the many occasions when I got to the Kokugikan v. early
to get day tickets, there was another Gaijin in front of me in the line
(I seem to remember that this was for sen-shu raku). I was there at
about 5:30 am, so he must have been there much earlier. At about
8:50, with the line-up being well over the 400 limit, about 10 of this
guys friends showed up, and just joined the line up with him.
It was one of those occasions in Japan where I was ashamed to be another
foreigner; I knew that the other Japanese round me would inevitably be
thinking that this behavour by foreigners was "typical".
PLEASE don't do anything like this if you need to get tickets for
several people. However - have a great time. I envy you!
Cheers
