Re: topic drift
Wow, before I read Tito's reply, I was felt like taking back my message
that got this thing started.
Sumo, you want sumo, OK.
Nanpu, a sandanme sumotori just returned for an extended stay in Hawai'i,
he father has been seriously ill, Konishiki, his senpai, paid for his
return ticket. He had a eco seat but the flight attendant turned out to be
a friend of Konishiki's, so instant upgrade to business, pretty cool, un.
He is from Takasago-beya, obviously, young guy, full on Hawaiian, nice guy.
He stopped by my flat tonight. He told me the boys will return to Tokyo
on Friday. They won't be around too long, they have to make appearances at
Yokata and Yokusuka, then basho time will be near, yahoo! Can't wait for
my banzuke in the mail! Can't wait of waiting in line for tickets, early
in the morning!
More sumo, OK, Koryu, Nanpu's stable-mate returns from his grandfather's
funeral in Hawaii this Sunday.
Sumo related, on my way with Nanpu on bike to Takasago-beya, we rode under
the cherry blossoms along the Sumida-gawa, probably the #1 place in Tokyo
to view them, passing the locals drinking lots of beer. Seriously. The
beya isn't too far away. It has a very attractive front, with old Edo-jidai
sliding doors, the best one I have seen so far. Did you know that
Takasago-beya is the only heya on the westside of the Sumida-gawa?
That's all I have for sumo, because there's no basho.
Mahalo!
