I did it. 

Thanks for all the answers and proposals, I selected the most
simple and straightforward rules, so everybody, even me,
can participate.

All you lurkers out there, just try anything pick anybody
(except politicians, though I would consider Kohl an underdog here ;-))

Since it's the first time we do it and in order to attract as many
people as possible, I'll refrain from adding too complicated
bonues etc.

First of all, a reference is generated from the actual banzuke. With
no difference to Sanyaku and Maegahira, a simple ranking will be done
considering east and west positions. If we use the old banzuke, the 
ref.-list will be like:

1.) Takanohana
2.) Akebono
3.) Takanonami
      ...
9.) Musoyama
10.) Kotonowaka
11.) Takatoriki
       ...
39.) Takamisugi
40.) Kotogaume
41.) Asanosho
42.) Aehh, who was J1-East 
       ...

[ Of course I`ll include the missing Juryo rikishi ;-) ]

I do the same with the guessed Banzuke and will
calculate the absolute deviation for each rikishi
on the guessed banzuke. e.g.

1 (Kushimaumi) + 2 (Tomonohana) + 0 (Kotoinazuma) + 3 (Kenko)

I think that's pretty straightforward and simple.

For those people, who would consider this too simple, I'll
include some bonus:

Changes in Yokozuna and Ozeki ranks are not considered,
since they are already known prior to the banzuke.

  For every correct Sekiwake/Komosubi: -2 points
  if the position (east/west) is correct: -5 points

  If all sanyaku rikishi are guessed correctly, disregarding
  their ranks: -3 points

  If all maegashira rikishi are guessed correctling, disregarding
  their ranks: -3 points
//---------------------------------------------------------------
  If all 'shin-makuuchi' (???) rikishi, coming from Juryo,
  are guessed correctly: -2 ponts

I think that's enough. I don't want to cause too much
confusion. Have no feeling, how many points should be 
given for the bonus, please give me your proposal.
By default, I'll take the above.

So even for all people like me, who don't know nothing
about banzuke-making, it's a good chance just to give it a try
and have fun. 

I already wrote a script-file (don't tell my boss ;-)))
to make life easier for me (and my company), please use the
template, I`ll post soon after that.
