Call for Rules

Including me, there are 5 freaks so let's give it a try.

Let's play it nice and simple for the beginning.

My proposal: First the Maegashira Ranks:

The deviation of the actual banzuke and the players input is accumulated.
The step from east to west is one point es is the step from east to (higher
ranked west). Let's illustrate that with examples:

Banzuke:
^^^^^^^
M1: Kotonowaka		Takatoriki
M2: Tochinowaka		Terao

Players Guess:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^

M1: Takatoriki		Terao
M2: Tochinowaka		Kotonowaka

Caluclation:	# Takatoriki : 1 Point  (East -> West / same Rank)
===========	# Terao      : 2 Points (West -> West / One Rank difference)
		# Kotonowaka : 3 Points (West -> East / One Rank difference)
		# Tochinowaka: 0 Points (Hit !!!)

I think the direction of the 'misses' doesn't make any difference. I also
hope that the step from west to east is equal to the step from east to
(higher ranked) west. All the calculations are realted to the Players Guess,
so if you forget one and make up a new one you'll be heavily penalized ;-)

As for sanyaku ranks ...

uups, I'm sure you folks out there have some better ideas, but
here just my two cents:

Movement within ranks: Same as Maegashira (One point each)

Rise Ozeki ---> Yokozuna: (Read the papers, dummy !!!)

Rise/Drop from Ozeki <---> Sekiwake: (when is it announced ???)

Rise/Drop Sekiwake <---> Komosubi: (how does it work - help !!!)

Rise/Drop Komosubi <---> Maegashira: Same as Maegashira (One point each)

Finally: Rise from Juryo: Same as Maegashira (One point each)

//-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Man, I'm sure I forgot a lot, so give me some feedback here. (Waiting for Abe-san)

If we get this thing going, I'll post a template for the Banzuke. It's easier to process it
with a script file then.

Let's beat the silly season - Guess the Banzuke

P.S> Just in case you didn't figure it out: The less points the better ;-)
