This occurred to me while reading Abe-san's comments on Musoyama's
shikona. Given that he is from Ibaragi-ken, wouldn't it be possible
that his name actually refers to Tsukuba-san (Mt. Tsukuba)?
"Musoyama" as written in chinese characters can be interpreted
as "Twin Peaks of Musashi (Kanto)", which would make sense as
Tsukuba-san. Of course, double- and triple- entendre are possible.

Tsukuba-san, by the way, is a double-crested peak in Ibaragi-ken which
used to be prominent on the eastern horizon of Tokyo before the city
got built up and the air quality deteriorated. Some of Hiroshige's
woodprints depict this mountain as seen from Edo (Tokyo).
