Akebono's status (finally)

The big guy sits out again.  Sigh...

Well, now you know the facts (and just the facts, ma'am!).

The papers are saying Wakanohana is a possibility for Yokozuna, too,
a bit of a surprise to me.  I guess the Kyokai is sweating due to the
distinct possibility of 2 foreign Yokozuna.  Musashimaru has been
kicking butt and taking names in keiko lately, and looks to be the
favorite.  Gotta count in Takanohana now that we're back in Tokyo,
though.  I would wonder how much longer he can keep up in light of
the intense pressure on him.  Takanonami looks to be in the dark
horse category, possibly a spoiler against Musashimaru.

BTW, it's nice to be back home.

Thanks to Bill, Michiko, Seelye and Julie for a couple of really nice
evenings there in Seattle!!
