Sumo coverage on the West Coast

Hello All-

While we're on the subject of TV coverage, I'm in Vancouver and the only
sumo I get to see is the aforementioned Japan News, which is on Seattle PBS
at some ungodly hour. Does anyone know of anything else?

When I lived in Hyogo-ken, I watched the English language simulcast on NHK
satellite. I believe the announcers mentioned their signal was transmitted
to London, Hawaii, and a few other places. Has anyone out there had any
experience in convincing local cable companies to pick it (or other
specialty channels) up? Would they contact NHK? Any ideas would be
welcome.

Thanks,
  John
