Wakanohana's status

Hi all!  Richard is anxious about Waka, as are many of you, I guess.
Anyhow, for what it's worth, this morning's paper showed him at the
keiko, and said his strength is almost all returned, and he hopes to
do well in Nagoya.  He has no more pain in his left leg nowm but the
long layoff could be a problem.  The writer seemed to feel that it
should be no real difficulty in getting kachi-koshi.  He definitely
is kadoban this basho, which ought to give him some motivation to
go out and kick booty.  His wife is staying in Tokyo for Waka's
"shin-kon-basho" as they call it.  They haven't been able to take a
honeymoon yet, but will head out after the basho is finished.

No news on Akebono these days.  He seems to have sealed off the press
until he's ready to decide.  Not an easy thing to do here!
