Makunouchi Banzuke Page
Kosho (Koushou?)
The books I read on sumo indicated that the system by which you can
sit out a basho with injury, which I believe is kosho or koushou
(David spelled it both ways in his post, and since I don't know the
word, ...), only keeps you from being demoted for one extra basho.
Thus, Wakanohana should be kadoban by my understanding. From what
David said, I gather that Wakanohana may be sitting this one out as
well. If he does, my logic says that he will find himself at
Sekiwake on the next banzuke.
So, what is the status of Waka? Will he be in action? What is the
latest word on Akebono? And no false info from those who plan on
beating me (again) in David's hoshitori ;-)
