Well, at 269 kg, not many of the lower Maegashira can stop him once he
gets them by the mawashi and moves forward.  Also, he hasn't faced them
much, so they seem not to have noticed that by leaping to his side at
tachiai, it's easy to beat him by okuridashi or something in that area.

Then again, I'm sure he's aware that a make-koshi record could easily
put him into Juryo, so he wants to fight hard to stay out of there.
He gets a lot of applause these days from the fans, more than he did
as Ozeki, I think.  Maybe they like the underdogs, too!!
