Some Day 6 results
For those of you who want to know, here are a few results I picked up by
watching "Today's Japan":
> Torikumi for Day 6:
>
> East West
>
> Aogiyama 0 2 Kotofuji
> Kiraiho 2 2 Kotogaume
> Kotobeppu 4 1 Toyonoumi
> Hamanoshima 0 0 Konishiki
> Kenko 0 0 Asanowaka
> Kirishima 3 4 Kotoinazuma
> Akinoshima 3 2 Kasugafuji
> Mitoizumi 8 6 Takatoriki
> Higonoumi 1 2 Kyokudozan
> Takamisugi 3 1 Tokitsunada
> Mainoumi 3 4 Kotonowaka
^ Mainoumi no kachi. Wrapped his left leg around Kotonowaka's leg and the
big guy lost his balance and fell on his back. Both wrestlers are now 2-4.
> Daishoyama 0 4 Wakashoyo
> Oginishiki 1 0 Misugisato
^ Misugisato wins, evening his record at 3-3. Oginishiki is 2-4.
> Kitakachidoki 1 3 Tochinowaka
^ Kitakachidoki no kachi. He's now 2-4, while Tochinowaka is 1-5.
> Daizen 0 4 Kotonishiki
^ Kotonishiki grabbed Daizen's mawashi at the start, spun him around and
then easily pushed him out of the ring. Kotonishiki's looking very
impressive this basho, and is now the only undefeated rikishi. Let's see
if he can keep it up and not fade near the end as he has done a couple
times before. Daizen is 1-5.
> Musoyama 0 1 Takanohana
^ Takanohana no kachi. Musoyama is now 1-5, and having a tough time at
Sekiwake. Hopefully it's just a slow start, like last basho. Takanohana
is 5-1.
> Musashimaru 0 0 Kaio
^ Impressive win by Kaio. He fended off Musashimaru's initial thrusts, then
grabbed his mawashi, and yoriki'd him out; he pretty much out-muscled the
big Hawaiian, which we all know is NOT easy to do. Both wrestlers are
one step behind the leader at 5-1.
> Daishoho 1 6 Takanonami
^ Takanonami no kachi. Takanonami is 5-1, Daishoho 1-5.
> Wakanohana 3 0 Tomonohana
^ Wakanohana lost again! He's now 3-3, Tomonohana's 2-4.
> Terao 3 6 Akebono
^ Akebono no kachi. Akebono 5-1, Terao 4-2.
