|Sorry for the lateness. System failures all over the place were
|driving me nuts. Some might say, "That's not a drive, that's a
|putt." But I digress.
|
|Musoyama, at 6-5 now, is getting close to making komusubi. The
|other rikishi around him are all losing ground, so would leave
|him an opening if he keeps up his great sumo. Good to see that
|Kotonowaka is turning it around the past few days. Tomonohana
|fights well, but just hasn't been big enough to really keep up
|with the other san-yaku. Today is the showdown between the
|sekiwakes: Musashimaru and Takanonami. The winner gets the
|needed 11th win to (most likely) assure him of promotion to
|Ozeki. The loser may still make it, but he will have to win
|against the other top rikishi to do it. Right now, it looks
|good for a playoff at the end of Sunday's action, as several
|have close records. Hopefully someday we'll get to see Taka
|and Waka go at it.
