|Lots of excitement and monoi today. Hamanoshima is still a big
|surprise, winning so much in his first time as a maegashira.
|Good to see Mitoizumi even up his record. He looks stronger
|than the first few days. I wonder what's up with Akinoshima.
|He looks very uninspired this basho. It looked to me (from
|the slow-mo) that Musashimaru stepped out at the same time
|as Tomonohana fell, but the judges agreed with the gyoji's
|call and gave the Hawaiian the match. It was close, so at
|least I felt a rematch was in order. But nobody asked me.
|Kotonishiki had to go twice to finally kill Konishiki's
|numerical chances at regaining Ozeki status. In the first
|round, Konishiki actually showed some attempt at winning,
|but in the tori-naoshi he crapped out quickly again.
|The Ozeki and Yokozuna three-some had hard work today to
|put away their foes.
|
|So far there are 2 rikishi at 6-0, and five at 5-1. More
|next week!
|
|**NOTE** Due to certain circumstances beyond my control,
|there won't be any new dailies until Monday. I won't say
|sorry, cuz it ain't my fault! However, I'll post the news
|sometime on Monday for the Saturday/Sunday results.
|
|Mata nee....
