|Takanohana is still ozeki because you have to go make-koshi in two bashos in a
|row to be demoted -- this was just his first one. If I'm not mistaken,
|Wakanohana was just promoted to ozeki after the November tournament. I don't
|think his success before becoming an ozeki counts towards his chances of
|yokozuna promotion, so he has to do well from this point on to be promoted.
|Musashimaru I don't know about -- I thought he did poorly in September but I
|don't know for sure. As for Mitoizumi, he dropped out of the tournament very
|early in November. I guess that was a factor in his keeping the same rank. I
|hope he does well this time -- Old Salt is one of my favorites.
