|Down to 4 unbeaten rikishi already. Today was pretty exciting, with a lot
|of fighting spirit around the douhyou.
|
|Daizen is looking good so far, rebounding from the bad Aki Basho, and he
|dumped Kitakachidoki. Musoyama was kinda lifeless and lost easily to
|Oginohana. Kasugafuji was surprisingly agile and blew out Daishoho.
|Mainoumi forgot to keep his head up, and Misugisato slapped him down at
|the tachiai. Terao (Batoutahellius) actually had Takatoriki airborne
|for a second, in the most exciting match of the day. Needless to say,
|the hometown crowd loved it (Terao being from southern Kyushu).
|Kirishima had nothing to offer against Kotonishiki's fierce attacks.
|Kyokudozan pulled off the prettiest uttchari I've seen in a long time to
|surprise Takanonami.
|
|Wakanohana used a henka to sidestep the raging bull Kushimaumi, then push
|him out. Kinda lame for an ozeki, IMO, but then he's 74 kilograms lighter.
|Takanohana showed he still has it, to those who counted him out yesterday.
|Akinoshima snatched victory from the jaws of defeat to pull Konishiki over
|and down. His record against Konishiki is now 18-8.
|Akebono went right in to the mawashi of Kotonowaka, and then forced out the
|komusubi to stay unbeaten.
|
|Mata nee....
