|Akebono takes a shot at being the first to win three straight since
|Chiyonofuji in 1988 (he did 4!). Takanohana is still looking toward
|promotion to Yokozuna if he wins the basho. He says there is no more
|back pain. There was quite a bit of juggling in the maegashira ranks.
|Some rikishi rode the elevator a long way (up _and_ down). One of the
|NHK reporters asked Tomonohana how he feels about fighting Akebono.
|He said that he doesn't want to think about it, because it gives him
|stomach pains.
|
|There are 9 rikishi out of 40 (22.5%) from Futagoyama Beya, and they hold
|4 of the 9 "san-yaku" rankings. The others are M1,2,3,5 and 13. It still
|gives those higher-ranked stable-mates a lift.
