|Kushimaumi made a great stand at the edge to avoid force out
|against Tamakairiki. Kirishima used a henka move to get
|behind Musoyama. Kyokudozan was genkisugiru and overpowered
|the bigger Kitakachidoki. Kasugafuji showed his stuff by
|losing badly to the ailing Tomoefuji. Kotobeppu held out and
|turned around to beat the failing Akinoshima. Terao lost a
|tsuppari match when he slipped forward. A harite fight
|between a tentative Takatoriki and the improving Kotofuji.
|Kotonishiki blazed from the tachiai to win in about 2 seconds.
|Kotonowaka got to the mawashi of Takanonami to toss him,
|giving hope for kachikoshi to the shin-sanyaku. Musashimaru
|won by Mitoizumi's bad leg giving out. Wakanohana and
|Tomonohana had a great stare-down before Waka took the ex-
|teacher to task. Taka's back didn't bother him as he carried
|out Daishoho. Akebono pulled out his turbo-thrusters and blew
|out Misugisato.
