Re: ML vs. newsgroup

Setting  up  a new newsgroup  is  not  necessarily a  major drama, but some
people sure can  make one  out  of it. Just read  news.groups for  a while.
Right now, I'm  following the  RFD for  soc.couples.interracial  there and,
geez, did  that  create  a stir  over the name. All them PC-wankers ... But
back  to the point, if an RFD  is started, fine,  but don't think  that the
newsgroup will be there in a week or so.

Starting alt.sport.sumo may be easier, but it may not be  as easy to get  a
feed  and some  people  already mentioned that they  have e-mail privileges
only.

If absolutely nobody steps forward with  an  account, I _may_ bother to set
up  a _temporary_ account  here on  our slowest  machine.  If  created,  it
definitely _will_ go down when I leave for Japan, probably during  the next
basho.
