re: Sumo ML (fwd)

Well the split is fairly even still re:ML vs. newsgroup(see other
forwarded posts today). If you haven't already had your say then please
do so. Those suggesting we keep a ML, have all suggested a "proper one",
but usually they add they haven't got the expertise to set one up. I am
in a similar situation and wouldn't mind a ML or a newsgroup, however if
we decide on a ML we need someone to come forward and offer their services
to set one up. So don't be shy the significant number who haven't had
their say yet, as whichever way we go we're going to need
help/ideas/suggestions from as many as we can get.

Cheers, Pete Kaub.

You wrote that other members of the mailing list were having "bounce back"
problems with our addresses here at the University of Illinois. Just wanted to
let you know that the revised addresses you mentioned in that post
(<d-thiel@uiuc.edu>, etc.) are indeed the preferred ones. For some reason, our
system lists our full addresses when we mail out, but the shortened ones work
best when responding.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I know I would prefer to keep the Sumo
mailing list going, even if a newsgroup eventually springs from it. Our
newsgroup access here at the station is only on a trial basis, so there may
come a time when we won't be able to get in. In addition, we can't ftp from
this site, so I'd like to see the standings continue to be posted to the list.

Thanks!
