Dear Sumo fans, Please find following some ideas from Olaf regarding
putting the techniques as FAQ, and about making a real ML. Unfortunately
I do not have the resources to gain another account just to handle the
sumo ML. Therefore help/ideas are requested. In the time over the
weekend we've had 5 more joining the ML, welcome Alan, Lee, two Jims, and
Lucien. Even though a bit all over the place I'll send updates etc. that
I have got from different sources. Tony will hopefully still be able to
give us full results details, even though we know the big Ake got the
basho, with the three way tie I was so looking forward to. Unfortunate
though that the no-hana brothers didn't seem as up to the big round robin
tie breaker as I'd hoped.
Yoroshiku, Pete Kaub.

Hi Pete,
WRT the Sumo ML, creating a new newsgroup is OK (alt.sumo, rec.sport.sumo),
but there is an alternative: creating a _real_ mailing list. You have to be
able to create, or get, a new account (sumo@possum.murdoch.edu.au or, if
you need a non-letter in the username, osumo3@... ?) and put a .forward
file there that has all the e-mail addresses in it. All mail received at
that address will then be forwarded to everyone. Subscribe and unsubscribe
messages have to be send to you, so you can update the .forward file.
WRT the Sumo FAQ, I think it would be best to make a first draft and then
ask other people for more information and, possibly, help. Especially to
fill in the voids. So, since it was my idea, I guess I should go ahead a
draw up a draft. Could you send me those three articles again? I deleted
them after reading :-(
