I had heard it was the wife of his Oyakata and it occurred at some party.
Oops. You might be right. My memory didn't serve correctly.
BTW, imagin what will happen when the big Yokozuna beat a middle-aged lady
up! It's horrible.
And that afterwards, nobody knew where he was for many months. I had
always wondered what became of him, is he a pro wrestler in Japan, or
elsewhere?
I think he is pro-wrestling in Japan. He uses his real name, Kitao Kouji.
After his retirement, he's got several jobs. Once he introduced himself
as 'Sports Bouken-Ka'(Sports Adventurer??) on a TV program. On the program,
he tried some challenging sports and ended up with whining. So I felt like
he is a kinda guy who didn't have enough 'Konjou'(spirit?) to get along
as Yokozuna. That might be the case there was somewhat the intention of TV
producer.
The first basho I saw was one where Masuro upset many of the top rikishi,
he was quite exciting to watch.
Yeah. Masurao was my favorite,too.
He was another muscle man, whose name 'Masurao', which is an
old but cool expression of 'strong man', really fit himself.
Unfortunately he didn't do well after, though.
