Great story! Thanks Moti! Too bad there's no video
of this. You could
easily argue these are the two most entertaining
rikishi in sumo right now.
I am sorry but I doubt it was "entertaining" for
Takamiskari. Asashoryu is the most powerful active
rikishi at the moment but precisely for the behavior
such as this, he could not be compared against the
greatest yokozunas. A yokozuna is more than just being
strong. He still has a great deal to learn about
sumodo and bushido.
Takamisakari can be such an easy target to pick on
because of his training ethics, demeanor, mannerism,
emotional makeup etc but that is exactly the reason
Asashoryu should not go after him as the leading and
top rikishi. Regardless of circumstance and profession
(and even in Ozumo) bullying should never be
considered to be an acceptable behavior and conduct by
anyone when the victim has no recourse to respond.
