Initially reported to require only one week to heal,
Hakuho believes the injury to his left ankle will take
more time as he still has a cast around the ankle. "I
put on the mawashi and am still working out but so far
I can only do warm-ups," Hakuho said.

He will skip the Summer Jyungyo scheduled for August 6
in Kuji-shi, Iwate Prefecture but is planning to join
in his heya's summer camp as a part of his rehab
regimen starting August 5 in Yokosuka-shi.

"At this point it's doubtful if I can even come back
on time for the Aki Basho," Hakuho added.

Hakuho made the comment after attending the Kyokai's
Las Vegas Koen information session at the Kokugikan on
August 4.

Yokozuna Asashoryu flew back from Mongolia on August 5
to attend the Jyungyo bashos scheduled on August 6 and
7. He showed his surprise when told of his alma mater
Meitoku Gijuku High School's baseball club incident
and their withdrawal from the national baseball
tournament.

"I've been fully expecting them to go all the way to
the Final and Yusho this year, so I am really
disappointed to hear that. I'll be hoping for their
comeback soon," Asashoryu said.
