Kyokutenhou acquired his Japanese citizenship two days ago. He is the

Oshima oyakata's real name is Oota. Has there been a formal adoption yet,
does anybody know?
He now qualifies for a toshiyori when he retires.
Citizenship was the final qualification to acquire a myouseki and be a
toshiyori. He already had the others. His mother has been on an extended
visit, BTW. I first met her about six months ago, was surprised to run into
her at a concert of Mongolian music a couple of weeks ago, and learnt that
she has been here al the intervening time but intends to return to Mongolia
shortly. Tenho's younger sister, fluent in Japanese, interprets for her
where necessary.
Mongolian Makushita (at least for the next two days..) Kyokutenzan has also
acquired Japanese citizenship.
Aha! I thought so! I wonder if he'll be Tenho's manager eventually?
