he is indeed acting like an ass but for fecks sake his father has just died. who knows how any of us would react in that situation.

Well, I can tell you how I reacted. My situation was similar to Taka's in that my father became ill and passed away fairly young and relatively quickly. I was 37 at the time.

takanohana idolised his father and subsequently fout out that same
idol had feet of clay. his death must make for a 32 year old thats
feeling very confused and mixed up right now.

I also idolized my father but he didn't have feet of clay. However, obviously none of us had the attention of anyone outside of the family (it's not like we're famous). And I am the eldest son. But the pain and confusion and all the other emotions do take over your life for a while. One of the other things I had going for me is that our mother and father were married and together and happy longer than I was alive.

plus everything is being done under the intense spotlight that is the japanese media. its not surprising he is acting weirdly. it'd be stranger if he was acting normally.

I have seen this kind of reaction in some families. There's immediate and devastating fights between siblings over the inheritance. This seems to come when the siblings are not raised in an equal and loving environment. It's quite obvious that the Hanada did not have this kind of environment.

two of my closest friends lost their fathers in the last few years and the shock that it caused them had profound and lasting effects on both.

It's been almost 5 and 1/2 years for me. And sometimes it feels like yesterday.

Anyway, my feelings on this are that Taka is not acting proper for a son, let alone a Yokozuna. I can see where some of his actons might be motivated from but it still doe snot excuse him from it.

	At least that's my opinion.
