[sumo] Death of Watanabe

I had a phone call this morning from a Tokyo friend telling me that Mr. 
Watanabe had passed away last evening at the age of 106.  He was, I 
believe, the head of the Yokozuna Council many years ago.  
Unfortunately, I have forgotten his given name.  His wife, who is about 
95 now, and my wife were friends when we lived there.  We shared the 
same apartment building (Azabu Terrace in Roppongi -- which the 
Watanabes owned.)  Their daughter Yoshiko still corresponds with my 
wife regularly.

I believe the current (recent?) head of the council is Tsuneo Watanabe 
(owner of the Yomiuri Giants).  I don't know whether they are related.

If you have any information on the death of Watanabe-san, I would 
appreciate a brief note. I want to send his family a card.
