What do you get when you get promoted to Juryo from
Makushita,
you get:
Salary
------
Yen 1,038,000 monthly plus a stipend for each basho
Priviledges
-----------
To allow to wear a white mawashi for sekitoris during
training sessions.
To allow to wear a mawashi only for competition (for
bashos).
To allow to wear a topknot (Oicho mage).
And be given your own private room at the heya,
provided with several Tsukebitos to take care of your
daily chores.
Toshiyori Myoseki
-----------------
By accumulating more than 30 Bashos in Juryo, you
receive a qualification to acquire and assume a
Toshiyori Myoseki and share (which is required to stay
with the Kyokai after you retire from active rikishi
career and rub your elbows with Takanohana oyakata.)
