[sumo] Kanechika Takes Over Miyagino Beya

For those who are following the saga of Miyagino Beya,
well, it's official now. 

The Kyokai approved the takeover of Miyagino Beya by
former Juryo Kanechika, 34, who will now formally
become Miyagino Oyakata. 

The Kyokai also acknowledged the assumption of
Toshiyori Kumagatani by the former Miyagino oyakata
(former Makuuchi Chikubayama, 47) who will continue to
stay with the heya and instruct their rikishis. 
Miyagino Beya has two sekitoris, Hakuo and Kobo, who
were developed by the former Miyagino oyakata.

It is rather rare to have a rikishi from another
Ichimon group taking over a heya belonging to another
Ichimon however in this case Kanechika married a
daughter of Miyagino oyakata who passed away and his
heya was taken over by the former Miyagino oyakata. 
As well the former oyakata was only "renting" the
Toshiyori share from the widow of the previous oyakata
and she still retained the ownership which is now
passed over to Kanechika.

Kanechika's highest rank was Juryo East 2 and he
resided in Juryo for a total of 24 bashos. Normally to
assume a Toshiyori, a rikishi must have at least one
basho as a Sanyaku or 20 bashos  as a Makuuchi or a
combined total of 30 bashos as Juryo and Makuuchi. 
However to inherit a heya, a rikishi only needs to
satisfy a minimum of 12 Makuuchi bashos or 20 Makuuchi
and Juryo bashos.
