It's still in the news, both Japanese and English, but coming out piecemeal, because it really was a very mysterious explosion at the Sardine Museum. More and more it seems to have been a leak of _natural_ gas from underground. So sorry about your friend's mother, who appears to have been an employee there. The other employee caught in the explosion is still in serious condition with extensive burns. FWIW.

Can someone in Tokyo comment on this?
My friend's Mother was killed last Friday when a (fish?) Museum in Chiba
blew up- a HUGE explosion that totally destroyed the building. He said it
would be in the news, but I have seen nothing- does anyone know anything?
