I think noone really knows the real reason or what
caused it initially.

When Futagoyama Beya was renamed to Takanohana Beya,
Takanohana oyakata was not actually around. It was
Akinoshima who was leading the rikishis and training
sessions. I just think that Takanohana wants to groom
his heya in his own way and not of someone else even
though Akinoshima is his senior.

I think what is really lacking here is Futagoyama
oyakata's leadership and management ability as he
should have seen this was coming, and when it did
become obvious he should have mediated any disputes
between the two.

As Moti pointed out that the Kyokai approved the
Myoseki name change from Fujishima to Sendagawa for
Akinoshima, not based on Takanohana's signature but
Futagoyama Oyakata's.  Takanohana is upset that
Akinoshima went to his dad rather than him.  But why
has Futagoyama oyakata done this without consulting
with Takanohana?  But Futagoyama oyakata was the one
who gave Akinoshima "Fujishima" myoseki so I imagine
from his point of view, he felt he could give it away.
 There is a story that Takanohana wanted to keep the
Myoseki inhouse so he could one day give it to his
son...  

Akinoshima said time and time again he was indebted to
Futagoyama oyakata and still has not repaid all the
things the oyakata has done for him over the years.
Obviously this is not making Takanohana conducive to
any maganimity as he heads the house but not in the
view of his stagehands.
