I can't comment on today's sekitori but ex-sekitori have hinted to me that 
certain wrestlers were on the "juice."  I think with all the stink regarding 
cycling, Olimpics, US Major League baseball, US NFL, etc., I don't know how 
anyone can say that there isn't drug use in sumo.  It is the nature of 
sport.  To compete you want to do your best, and you will sometimes take or 
do whatever it takes to be the best, including taking the needle to bulk up. 
 I know of one low ranked wrestler who beat a certain yokozuna during 
jungyo cause he was off the juice between basho, suppposedly it makes you 
aggressive or something.  Anyway, I am sure there are drugs, but I am not 
sure what will or should be done about it.
