Re: [sumo] Ancient sumo grapples.... Tom quote

Tom quote "Seventy bucks? I spent that much Friday night in a second-rate izakaiya on a few beers and some chicken snacks."

Sounds like you need to find a cheaper place to eat. If their are any places left in Japan that are reasonable.

Tom Quote "Tell you what. Here is an offer you cannot refuse. I'LL return your money, seriously, send me your address offline and I'll send you the cash. Clyde can repay me when he has the doe."

Are you going to offer to repay all of the people he has cheated? Well since you can spend 70 bucks on snacks, maybe you can.

Tom Quote "That way you can save your immortal soul from the anger that is obviously eating away at it, and I can post here what I believe to be the truth of the situation -- compassionate truth -- and we are both happy."

Sorry Tom, you don't know what the truth is. You can back him up for as long as you want but when you have to pay debts your friend is responsible for, then that person is not a friend anymore. This is HIS RESPONSIBILITY. I know all the things about sticking by your friends through good times and bad etc, etc etc. BTW... Close friends talk all the time not once every few months. If you want to be a true friend to Clyde then tell him the truth. Tell him that he has messed up the magazine, he has made many subscribers angry and most of all, he needs help putting the magazine out. That is the real truth here. .... Honestly though, I am sure some of his friends have relayed this to him before, (Kawika comes to mind) but he is living in a fantasy world. BTW Tom... He owes me 130 bucks. I work two jobs to earn my pay and honestly, I have not or will not die for 130 bucks. BUT HONESTY AND INTEGRITY ARE IMPORTANT and Clyde lacks both qualities.

Whitney in TX ..... :)
