Ross and I have been writing back and forth, and I have no hard feelings 
about his remark, nor should anyone else.  We go back many years -- he was 
Glenn's replacement, and the first new face on the show.

Everyone has a style.  FWIW, I never claimed to be a red-hot announcer.  My 
style -- if you could call it that -- was to give the guests plenty of room 
and allow as much natural sound as possible.

There is no one working on NHK as an English announcer who could get a job 
on a major outlet in the U.S.A.  That is no big deal, we are all trying to 
make a buck and hopefully have a good time while doing it.  Ross is a great 
guy, so is Murray, Dave is a buddy and Hiro (?) seemed like a nice person.

Anyone have a copy of the greatest book ever written about Sumo, "A Fan's 
uide," by David Benjamin?  Gonna check the speling now... -L-  Spel check 
said I done gud...
