To me, Kokkai looks to be a little too one-dimensional, and I think he'll end up being another Toki; Great in lower Makuuchi, but performs poorly in uppper Makuuchi.

That is such an interesting observation, since to me he seems pretty versatile. I'd say he is still rather unpolished, but not one dimensional. If you look at his techniques used, they are varied:

Not that diverse technique is a guaranty of success at the highest level as Aminishiki proves. I'd like to see Kokkai continue to storm up the ladder, since I find those sorts of performances exciting. I look forward to seeing how he does next Basho, but don't dare predict anything :)
