Wouldn't one who holds "strongly held opinions" therefore also be
"seriously demented" in your book?

I've been away too long, and I'm now trying to catch up with the
posts to this mailing list (it isn't a "chat group", BTW). Well, you
can only speak for yourself, you know- and from what I've seen
so far, I'll have to agree with your above statement only as far as
