Further to the discussion on Minanogawa a few weeks ago, I've recently come 
accross his article from 1952.

 Sumo Champ Now Guard At Tachikawa Airbase

   Former Grand Champion Minanogawa, whose real name is Tomojiro Sakata 
with his clothes on, became a guard at the Tachikawa Airbase since Monday, 
July 21. He is reputed to be one of the biggest Japanese sumo wrestlers in 
recent years.
   After he resigned from the arena life as a grand champion, he became a 
detective, however, he wanted to work for the Far Eastern Air Forces. 
Minanogawa visited the airbase as a grand champion a few years ago, and he 
was fascinated with the smart appearance of American flying men. Thus he 
applied to work there as a guard.
