Tonight on "The Daily Show" on the Comedy Central TV channel they had a
brief clip of an amateur sumotori who has joined the mob running for
governor in the California recall election.  HE was shown in a mawashi and
not presented as a freak--though obviously he was selected as one of the,
um, more unusual candidates.

Can anyone fill us in on his standing in the world of amateur sumo?
