[sumo] Question

Someone told me there is no such thing as a stupid
question, which has come as a great relief to me. I
have a question that I have not seen addressed in any
FAQ.  What happens to the salt that is thrown on the
dohyo after a full day of the basho?  There must be a
big accumulation of salt, probably many kilos.  Is it
just swept up and thrown away?  That would be an
incredible waste.  As a rancher, I need to supply salt
licks for the cattle.  Could the salt from each basho
be compressed into blocks and sold to ranchers?  Just
an idea.
