I beg to differ here. I have original tegata by Kaiho and Ohinode (who is
retired and enjoying life fishing). Neither bears the stamp; however, they

both given to me by a VERY reliable source (read: someone very important in
the sumo community). I also have two Asashoryu tegata that he, personally,
gave to me.
I've had so-called "fresh" sashimi before, but NOTHING ever tasted as
soft and tender as Ohinode's fresh catch.

The fact that you and everyone have genuine tegata, or fresh fish for that
matter, has no bearing on the fact that there are fake ones around. I have
seen the deshi making them...
This is just a heads up for those who are interested in authenticity,and
should know that you must be careful if it matters to you.
