One-trick Pony
Clive penned...
I agree with your diagnosis, we need a japanese Superman. Chiyotaikai is a
fine
sumotori and I believe his chances to become a yokozuna to be fairly good.
In
the two bashos he won he was devastating and impressive, but he seems to me
to
be too inconsistent and too much of a one-trick-pony to enthuse the masses.
Perhaps if he could beat the s*** out of Musashimaru a few times the fire
would catch on.
Kintaro stops buttering his bacon to respond...
Gee, being a one-trick pony isn't all that bad, look at what it's done for
the mighty Asanowaka. I certainly don't expect Chiyotaikai to make the
Spam-eating Yokozuna his Female Dog anytime soon. When Musashimaru returns
from his lengthening Takanohana-esque vacation, he'll be bigger and even
more immovable. Asked when he'll return, the massive Yokozuna popped a
Twinkie into his pie-hole and muttered, "What's the hurry? The pay's the
same."
The Woodstock-beya is still mourning the loss of their heya doctor --
Atkins-sama. Since becoming the Woodstock-beya's advisor, Kintaro dropped
over 20 kg (from Tochinonada-sized to Robo-sized since January). Obana and
Kintaro will make an offering for Atkins-sama at the Sensoji Temple (Asakusa
Kannon) when they visit Tokyo later this month. We will be in Ryogoku from
day six through Senshuraku.
Cheers,
Kintaro (From the shores of Lake Michigan)
