amateur-sumo, german open and first sumo song in german

 hello list,

i want to share some news from amateur-sumo in between-basho-time.

i've visited a training session from german sumotori, who are preparing for the german open, now called world masters, which will take place at 26th of april at braunschweig/germany. as i've been told a japanese team, men and women, will also take part.

i think i will be there, so if someone is interested perhaps we can meet somehow.

besides i had the chance to hear the possibly first song about sumo in german language, anyway it is called "the first german sumo song: maenner aus fleisch und blut", written and performed by lutz goldmann, an amateur-sumotori himself.
if you're not interested in this subject, actually it's only interesting for german fans, if at all, please delete now.

for everyone interested i want to suggest to promote the song in the following or any other way. (i don't get any money or other materials from this, i'm suggesting it only to support sumo to develop and to get people interested in the sport!)
i think every radio station airs a programme in which you can make a wish for a special song. if some people will wish that song together, possibly before the event will take place, giving a hint about the world masters at 26th, there might be a chance, that one or more stations are playing the song and people are becoming curious about the sport and will visit the competition.
here's my review of the song:
in the beginning it sounds heavy and heroic, later has some asian influences, and turns to pop-rock-disco-sound, not that widespread at present; the singing has a bit of achim reichel; the lyrics give a short view of sumo and the refrain has earwig-quality; altogether it has a fresh sound and not least, a short commentary of a.v.d. groeben, our german eurosport sumo-commentator.
for fans around berlin/brandenburg, i will wish the song next sunday at station: radio 88,8

greetings,
