OK- I talked to Clyde about this- he said his comment was mis quoted by
someone on this list... He said, and his complete statement was: that he
thought =B3Asashoryu does not have a personality THAT WAS APPRECIATED BY TH=
E
JAPANESE PUBLIC=B2 and that is why he is not that popular with them.
Clyde also said that he thought there was something like free speech, and i=
f
you don=B9t like his opinion , then you can form your own.
I can vouch for Clyde being an A#1 sumo expert- a walking encyclopedia on
the subject. And a humble and nice man. He also stays out of groups like
this, pays no attention at all, so I cannot imagine any validity to what
sounds like very irresponsible gossip above, saying he is =B2an internationa=
l
criminal who has stolen from many people on this list.=B2 Calm Down
f=B9petessake.
He knows more about all of this than all of us put together- he is totall=

fluent in Japanese and we have nothing that he needs.
Asashoryu is quickly growing into his role as Yokozuna, and the antics and
outrageous things he has said in the past that may not have set well with
the Japanese public will be quickly forgotten by most fans as he matures.

It has been frustrating. But tech troubles have created many set-backs.
Clyde told me today that he expects to get the MARCH issue to the printer
by Friday, and perhaps have it out by Tuesday!
Let=B9s hope.
